Brotherhood of St Laurence

The Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) is a Melbourne-based community organisation that has been working to reduce poverty in Australia since the 1930s. BSL's vision is ‘an Australia free of poverty’. The work of BSL includes direct service provision to people in need, the development of social enterprises to address inequality, research to better understand the causes and effects of poverty in Australia, and the development of policy solutions at international, national and local levels.

The BSL Ethical Business Unit is actively involved in advocating for ethical business practices and corporate social responsibility, with an emphasis on responsible supply chain management and labour rights in China and Australia.
