Centre pour l'Environment et Development

Le Centre pour l'Environement was founded in 1994 in reaction to the crisis in the management of Cameroon's forests including industrial logging, illegal logging and the increase in poaching which in turn lead to the increase in environmental, social and economic problems.

Our work has over time increased to include extractive industries (oil, minerals) and indigenous populations living in the forests. We have developed an expertise in negotiations with international organisations such as the World Bank as well as other bilateral and multilateral institutions.
