FAT - Frente Auténtico del Trabajo

 

The FAT (Frente Auténtico del Trabajo) was set up in 1960. The FAT was promoted by the Mexican Social Secretary and the Confederation of Christian Latin American trade-unionists (CLASC), to present an option of independent trade-unionism.

FAT is a national, autonomous and democratic organisation for workers based on their fight for better working and living conditions and an impulse for a process of transformation of Mexico’s society in the direction of a democracy and social self-management.
