ForUM - The Norwegian Forum for Environment and Development

 

Founded after the Earth Summit in 1992, ForUM is a network of over 50 NGOs that provides a meeting place where a professional level in the strategic and factual debate  on sustainable development is maintained, where initiatives to forward sustainable devlopment are created and where strategies for influencing policy makers are developed. ForUM participates in international political processes, and facilitates contacts and the exchange of experience and resources (especially people) between Norwegian and international organisations. ForUM filed an OECD Guidelines complaint in July 2005 concerning Aker Kværner ASA, a company that built and maintains prison facilities in Guantanamo Bay.
