ORCADE - Organisation pour le Renforcement des Capacités de Développement

ORCADE is a local research and advocacy NGO founded in 2001. Its vision is to work for a world where everyone counts by their capacity rather than by economic status or any other means that currently exist.

ORCADE's mission is to build the capacities of citizens, particularly the poor and vulnerable, in order to promote sustainable development. One of the main aims of ORCADE is to raise the awareness of citizens so that they may undertake citizen control and Rights Based Advocacy (RBA). ORCADE is currently helping build the capacity of mining communities in RBA and is also working with local producer organisations to try and obtain market access for their produce into West Africa.
