WACAM - Wassa Association of Communities Affected by Mining

The Wassa Association of Communities Affected by Mining (WACAM) was officially launched on 5th September 1998. Our aim is to mobilize the communities around the Critical Communities' Concerns. We have worked as volunteers in the past to address the many concerns of the communities.We seek to network for the protection of the environment, natural resources and the rights of marginalized mining communities through advocacy, campaign and representation within a legal framework that is sensitive to the concerns of mining communities.
