On 27 June 2023, OECD Watch participated in a webinar organised by the Institute for Policy Studies about options for challenging mining corporations at the international level. The webinar focused on the updated OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct and its associated National Contact Point grievance mechanism.
The webinar included contributions from three experts and activists: Katharine Booth (Researcher and Policy Advisor at OECD Watch), Dr. Catherine Coumans (Research Coordinator and Asia-Pacific Program Coordinator at MiningWatch Canada and OECD Watch member), and Lee Tan (leader of Aid/Watch’s campaign Stop Lynas).
