Founded in 2017 with the vision to build a movement of Equal Human Beings ∞ #WeAreManushyan ∞ Manushya is an Asian intersectional feminist human rights organisation reinforcing the power of humans, in particular feminists, women, youth democracy activists, LGBTI people, indigenous & forest communities, climate and environmental defenders to speak truth to power at the forefront of their fight for democracy, social justice & equality.
 
Neïla is a business & human rights expert leading the Corporate Accountability and Climate Justice portfolio at Manushya. She develops research and advocacy outputs on corporate accountability, climate justice and access to justice for human rights defenders and marginalised communities. She also seeks justice for communities impacted by corporate abuses through international mechanisms. 
She previously worked in the private sector, supporting the implementation of human rights due diligence in multinational companies, and taught business & human rights to Bachelor and Master business students. In parallel, she has been reporting on business & human rights legal developments on her blog Human Rights Insights.
Neïla holds a Bachelor’s degree in French law and a Master’s degree (LLM) in international law specialising in human rights law from Maastricht University.
